If a card or escalation moves my ship into a region, do I get that region's moon or action?
Designer posts ruled on this directly and the rulebook says only the launch region is activated.

No — only a launch activates a region. Moving a ship (Gravity Well, Bargain for Safe Passage, Stealth Maneuver, escalating into a battle) gives no moon or base action and triggers no Raider Strike. Taking leaders or bonus resources there remains a free action on your turn.
