Can I move the Doomsday track without taking an experiment, and does the track score after Impact?
No — you must take an experiment to move the Impact token, and tracks never move backwards. After Impact the Doomsday track is ignored entirely and an experiment scores only its own VP. The designer's view is that VP printed between track positions are scored as you advance past them, though he admitted the wording could be clearer.
