What happens to a card's pending benefits if the Madonna Statue removes it?
They are lost — once the card is gone, goods it placed on future rounds no longer pay out. The Statue's cost is two improvements already in play, not cards from hand. An earlier designer guess that the bonus would stay was overturned.
