When I become an elite class, what happens to my class card, HP, and earlier cards?
The rulebook's Elite Classes section describes the swap and the stacking HP.

You turn in your current class card and take the elite class card, with its movement and basic attack. You keep your cards and the HP gains from earlier levels and elite classes, so HP stacks. If you later take a different elite class you keep the earlier elite's cards but give up its movement.
